Moving from ipaq 3850 to 2210......

My ipaq 3850 needs replacing - well that is what I have now agreed with my wifey, and am thinking about buying a 2210.

I have a wired TT GPS and cannot also justify the replacement cost of a BT GPS, especially until the problems get sorted out with TT3.

What I would like to know is will the wired GPS connector for the 3850 fit the 2210, and if not, do you know where I can get a replacement connector?

Any help appreciated.

I don't know about the 2210 but the 4150 doeas have the same connections on the bottm. A friend of mine has one and it is very good, on expansys it is only £40 more than the 2210, worth considering in my opinion. Check the link out below.

Yes, the 38xx series shares the same connector, only the 36xx had a different one, all other iPAQ's share a common connector so sync cables, GPS MIce and other such cables are common to all iPAQ's (except the 36xx series) Thumbs Up

Yes they are sorry, I forgot about them, the 37xx are the same hardware as the 36xx but running PPC2002.

The 4150 lacks a CF Slot but does have built in WLAN. The 4150 alos lacks the Consumer iR Port (It has iR but only for sync purposes) whereas the 2210 has this plus the excellent 'Nevo' programmable and customisable remote control software.

Unless you need the CF Slot or desire a programmable remote facility then the 4150 is the newer model and WLAN is always useful, you'd be amazed how many open WLAN networks are around, great for checking your mail or browsing when out and about ;)
