Hello, I have just bought today from Halfords a new tomtom start 25. not sure how do I go about adding the camera database and the points of interest light I had before on my old unit, I look under my computer and it used to say tomtom so I could open the files choose my UK maps and install my stuff. Now it is not showing, any ideas please how I get to add the goodies, or has tomtom blocked us from interfering with them so we have to buy their camera database.

I use to use POI all the time finding my round to shops and garages now lost that luxuary.

Beginning to wishI had just paid to upgrade the maps on my old unit now.

many thanks in advance Gerry

The are lots of built-in POIs in your new unit, just as on your previous TomTom - and you can easily add custom POIs following DennisN's advice / link above, from PGPSW and other sources

If there is anything specific you cannot find / locate - just ask on here

My Carminat is the built in TomTom unit for my Renault. It usefully includes a POI set for Renault dealerships/garages. My dealership is in there. But located wrongly across the river and down a dead end.

Gerry.. as well as the methods to add POIs etc, metioned above (the normal way...) there's a quick method to transfer all your Favourites and POIs from your old TomTom, using this "transfer tool":

TomTom Content Transfer Assistant
