|
|
After updating to the latest WE map 890 there is a corrupt file left within the map folder.
My Tomtom still functions but it is preventing me doing a windows backup.
If I check its properties it says 0 bytes and size on disk 0 bytes, when I check the filelist it shows as
filename= USBCá┌.
size= 2,932,736kb
file type= file and date modified is blank.
I cannot rename the file or delete it, any one any ideas.
Tomtom 940 and windows 7 operating system.
Thanks for any help any one can give. _________________ Malcolm

Copy everything except the v890 map folder to somewhere safe on your PC.
Then create a new folder with the same name as the map folder and copy everything except the rogue file into it (you may need to do the copy and paste in two or more chunks of files)
i.e you've just made a backup of everything except the dodgy file.
Then reformat the TT memory (FAT32, don't use "quickformat")
Put everything back. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |
