Been awhile since I,ve purchased a TomTom and need a little advice. Thinking of either Go 1000 live uk & roi or the 820 live. Can I put the speed cams of here on either? Any advice welcome. |

Yes you can, on both.
You can also use the optional real voice warnings.
You need to use the new "MyTomTom" utility to add the files and it's a bit of a fiddle (especially if you use IE as your browser because you can only add one file at a time! So it's worth using another browser just for that job)
Having said that, the very latest software version is supposed to allow multiple POI files to be uploaded in one go using a zip file, but I haven't tried that yet. _________________ "Settling in nicely" ;-) |

Thank you for the advice on speed cams. Any idea when the newer maps are available and this "MyTomTom" utility can you still backup the same way with the older units.
Thanks Alan |

New 885 maps are due within a week or so.
Doubt you'll ever see the newer models have the ability to be backed up the way older ones can.
That said, you can back up favourites to the computer at this point. _________________ David |
