Adding POI best way

Hi all

I normally use bikehike to plan routes etc and now need to add marks along the route in order that I can see the eta or distance to next piont (ie 5 miles/2 hours to go until next marker) Guess these are POI ? What is the bext way of logging these ...do I have to do it via the unit or can I do it on bikehike or the active 10 mapping software.

Would appreciate any advice....

Yes they are called POI's

I've not used bikehike before so though I'd just try it out, a great free app for planning routes for sure. I added some POI's and then downloaded the route, there wasn't an option to down load the POI's so I thought that the may be encompassed in the gpx file with the route, but they weren't. so they didn't get inmported into sat map and I couldn't not find a way on bike hike to export them seems odd, perhaps it was me.

So give this situation I'd recommend using Quo mapping. free software, just pay for map tiles as you need them. Or what you could do is use bike hike and plan the route for free then export the route and import into Quo and add POI's (called Waypoints in quo) Wpts and then export them form there.
