1690 wont find ch54gr

my 1690 will not recognise ch54gr post code or the address connahs quay deeside,any one else had this problem,its not a new place why should it not be able to find the place?

Must be just an error in the postcode and address files for that device (CH5 4GR comes up as "Granston Close, Connah's Quay" on my TomTom)

Also Connor's Quay come's up in a search for "cities" (as TT have always called even the tiniest town or village).

According to Royal Mail's postcode finder (use the find an address tab - http://www2.royalmail.com/postcode-finder ) that postcode is for a street named "Granston Close" in a place called "Connah's Quay".

While I've no idea why the postcode search isn't working, have you tried searching for the street name itself in the address search? You could also try using 'Deeside' as the town?

sorted i had my unit set on england so would not recognise welsh post code,reset to united kingdom which includes wales.

Reminds me of the early days of the Garmin i3. We had a lot of people moaning that they couldn't find 'Cardiff' when searching for a city. Each time they had defaulted to selecting England as the country assuming it defaulted to United Kingdom as a whole Very Happy
