My 740 live has died sent it off to Sat nav repairs but they say its unrepairable, I have a subscription till October this year with traffic can I transfer this to another 740 live that I bought of a mate.

Have you registered the 740 yet? If you register it with the same email address as for your dead one, you just MIGHT find the subscription works on it.

Failing that, ring TomTom and grovel.

Thanks for that, for once it worked as you have said above, I did register the new unit but under a bogus email address because I did not know if my old unit was repairable.
But as it was not repairable I used my normal log in details and it did indeed ask & warn me about transfering all my services to the new TT, its all working now including my traffic...

I now have a 740 live for some spares.
