I have just bought a tomtom 3 kit which includes the rikaline 6010 mouse.
I have installed tomtom v3.02 and have a 256mb sd card for the uk maps. So far so good.
My problem is that I cannot get the xda to find the rikaline receiver. In the tt gps menu I am getting two error messages - the first says, "no gps engine please reinstall." I have done this 3 times to no avail. The second pops up when I try to select the "serial cable on com 1" drop down menu - an error message pops up with "cannot open com 1: port does not exist." I have tried every other option but nothing seems to work.
Any help would be much appreicated.

First you should try to communicate with the 6010 through a GPS diagnostics program like WinFast Navigator. Make sure you do a soft reset before that.
Check if anything else is blocking COM 1 or if maybe your serial port is on COM 2 or some other weird setting.
You can completely deinstall the TomTom GP driver ad then try the version 2.07 that we have in our downloads section. _________________ Lutz

Another thing is that you must have power at the cigarette lighter adapter for a GPS mouse to work - but that doesn't sound like the problem here.

Just had the same problem
goto conections infra red and untick recieve all incoming connections as this blocks the com port. |
