Hi Dave,

I either switch off Bluetooth, or the phone. Not ideal but it works! Thumbs Up

Regards,

Switching of bluetooth is not a good idea with a bluetooth GPS unit!

On some phones pressing the end call button will cut off GPRS.

Think yourself lucky that you can run traffic for more than five minutes!

Ah, spot my deliberate mistake! Embarassed What I of course meant to type was “switch off Bluetooth on the phone”. Apologies for that! Smile

For the last month I have been using a product called buttonMax from www.pocketmax.net which was highlighted elsewhere in these forums I think. The program records key or should I say stylus strokes so if you record the following and associate it to one of the hardware buttons you can be disconnected from GPRS easily:

- pull down the TomTom menu with the stylus,
- click on the connection icon on the menu bar that appears, and
- then click the disconnect button.

You associate the macro with a button and you can then disconnect at will. In case you are worrying that this means you can't use the hardware buttons as Microsoft intended you can set the macro to only activate when you "click and hold "or "double click" one of the buttons.

I also use the program to launch TomTom/Checkpoint when I get in the car and to turn off Bluetooth after I have closed TomTom. (saves a lot of fingermarks on the screen!)

It's not a free program but the version I downloaded gives a 60 day trial and I'll definitely be buying a copy when my trial runs out.

(By the way - no connections with the software developer just a happy customer to be!)

Regards

Julian
