Hi, when can we expect the video of the garmin nuvi chime to speech warning tutorial as i can seem to master the conversion.

Do you both have Nuvis that have mp3 players?
There are different instructions for those that do and those that don't.
Assuming you are following the instructions HERE, post back with more details of what models you have, and at what point the installation goes wrong for you. |

Hi, Yes I have a Nuvi 765 with mp3, I have got the speech working by using the correct database format, but I now have another problem that many of the cameras have multiple warinings. Some are nearly half a mile from the camera position. Think I may go back to the warning tones.  |

Have you made sure to turn off the Garmin (Cyclops) cameras?
They could well be causing the rogue alerts.

Or have you left the OTHER database version in your upload folder as well?
Although if the warnings are in the wrong place, I would suspect Cyclops instead.
Whatever the problem is, it's nothing to do with the voice warnings themselves. |
