Hi
I own a tom tom one 2nd edition and am interestd in upgrading to one with lane guidence but they all seem to have I Q routes as well.
I tow a caravan and dont want the route taking me on roads that may not be suitable even though it may be quicker.
i contacted tom tom and they said that I Q routes could not be disabled.

can anyone tell me if i can just use the usual planner without th I Q

REGARDS

From the x40 Go LIVE manual in the Planning Settings screen.

Quote:
Tap the IQ Routes button to enable or disable IQ Routes.

However it's possible you can't do this with other models but i don't see why not...

IQ routes can be disabled on my 530. My XL can't use IQ routes.

Another Customer Services howler!

I'd suggest you get back to them and get them to read the instruction manuals for their own devices! *

Go 1000 - IQ routes CAN be disabled
Go 940 - IQ routes CAN be disabled
Go 950 - IQ routes CAN be disabled
XL Live IQ - IQ routes CAN be disabled
Go 720 running v7 software! - Can't use IQ routes
Go 520 running v8 software - IQ routes CAN be disabled

*(page 45 in the Go940 manual, page 37 in the XL Live manual, page 40 in the Go1000 manual, but don't bother with the Go950 or Go720 manual as it doesn't mention it!)
