Average Speed Camera changes on the M25

Take care on the M25 this weekend. The roadworks are moving towards junction 29, the A127, the cameras are currently in place but inactive. The indications are that they will be activated over the weekend on the 17th July.

With this in mind we have taken the decision to activate the new cameras in the databases at 50 MPH in anticipation that come Saturday this will be the case. Make sure that your device is up to date!

When these cameras become active the entire stretch of the M25 between the A127 and M11 will be monitored by average speed cameras in both directions.

I think they have taken down some of the camera's on the M11-M25 slip roads (J27) These might of be taken down and moved towards J29. Maybe the section on the M25 (J27) is opening up fully this weekend as the roadworks look complete there. I will keep PGPS imformed as I use this section of the M25 evey working day.

I think it is unlikely that they will get the cameras live this weekend as they are not ready to close off the carriageways yet and the authority to operate the cameras will be linked to the introduction of lane restrictions. My guess would be around the end of the month.

The cameras over the Dartford Crossing bridge have been in place for months but are still not active as the warning signs are still obscured.

All the new cameras are up and working now and all the old cameras have a camera not in use sign next to them. I have reported all these changes within the last 2 weeks why has the database not be updated yet??
