Tomorrow I will atlast buy myself a ipaq 2210 with a fortuna GPS clip-on and with TomTom 3 as software. Do I need an extra memory card where I can store maps? I just need a little pieace of map. Not the whole 97 mb that cover all roads of sweden. I dont want to buy an huge memory card right away. To damn expensive. I want to save and then buy 1 gb CF card.
Have a nice day everyone! |

Yes, buy yourself a CF card. They are cheaper than SD ones, and quicker as well, I think. Keep your system RAM for running programmes, not storing them. _________________ Tim |

Why damn? I can sense that you and your money aren't easily parted, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but a couple of hundred Kroner (sp?) isn't too much, is it? I mean, how much in Sweden for a pint of beer? _________________ Tim |

Personally, I'd go for the Lexar over the Sandisk. _________________ Tim |

I also had to wait a few days for my sd card to arrive. In the meantime because I was eager to test the GPS (Bluei) i used the Destinator Software temporarily, It was not my intention to use D3 but rather TomTom 3 as I thought their 3d view was superior. However D3 had a
nice feature where you can cut out parts of a map giving me the opportunity to cut out a small part of 4 Mb to store in the rom of my iPAQ 4150. T3 lacks this feature it seems. |
