TomTom Latest Map Question

Hi,

I have just bought a TomTom XL IQ Routes - not the IQ2 after reading comments here and elsewhere.

It is still cellophaned up and I don't have an urgent need for it.

So to prevent me making the mistake that I made with my last, how do I find out when a new map is due.

Basically I don't want to connect today and find out that there is a new map released in 35 days which I will miss out on (map guarantee is for 30 days).

This happened when I last did a Garmin. It had 2007 map on it. When I connected, it was updated to 2008. But about 40 days after purchase the 2009 was released.

The new European map was released only yesterday, the UK&ROI map about four weeks ago so in either case go and use the LMG option as there certainly won't be another map release in the next 2 months - Mike

Just UK and ROI this time. My past 3 have been european but I barely used them abroad and when i did they created problems.

Besides couldn't find a european non IQ2 anywhere.
