Hi Sygic users,
I have the Sygic Mobile Maps 10 installed on my Nokia N97, and it seems to be working fine and faster locking on to sattelite.
I have a few questions.
1 will it work with the sppedcam database?
2 Is it possible to transfer Tom Tom voices to it?
3 Will it accept my Favorites from my TomTom HP Ipaq?
Cheers

1 - yes - go onto the camera page scroll down to compatibily table and find Sygic - Mobile 2009 (don't worry about the iphone - it is for all later Sygic). Click on installation instructions and it will tell you what to do. You will see they need converting to Sygic's own format, but you can download a converter from Sygic's site. I use a little batch file given to me by a forum member, scarymonkey, which means it takes only a few seconds.
2 - yes you can use the TT warning voices from this site - again see the installation instructions. Basically copy them into the res/sounds folder on your SD card and they will be available to choose when you are setting up the warnings
3 - don't know, but doubt it. _________________ Peter

If you open your MapSettings.cfg file using POIEdit which you can download for free from Here you can then edit the contents before saving the data as ov2 format, use the Sygic POI Converter and your old Favourites will now work with Sygic on the new phone - Mike
PS Having re-read the above it sounds complicated but in reality it is a very easy task to undertake, if you get stuck shout out and I will think up a more detailed answer. |
