750 Live - turn off 3D view?

Getting used to this now but am still confused as to the 3D view..

When a route has been planned it always comes up in the 3D view.

Is there any way that you can turn this off..

I do know that touching the centre bottom of the bar will change it -- but is there a way of turning it off so that it comes u in the 2 D view??

apart from these small niggles -- not a bad bit of kit..

Yes you can turn that off.
Change Preferences / 2D_3D Preferences / Un-tick the second option "Switch to 3D mode when following a route"

Now, if only there was a way to do the opposite! I've never used the 2D view and see no reason why the TT should force me to look at it when a route is completed or cleared.

(BTW - I've edited the title of your topic to make it a bit more descriptive - "750 Live" was a bit generic for a TomTom forum Wink

thank you -- found that option -- and "un-ticked" the box..
fine for the first trip - it worked -- 2D [great for me as thats how I like it]

-- The next day - new start up and it came up with the 3D view
-- I looked at the option and found that the box had "re ticked" itself..

Still it is not the end of the world !

Keep us informed if it keeps "re-ticking" it and we can pass it onto TomTom.

It still comes up "unticked" I think it must be the default setting -- if to have to reboot the Tom for any reason..

Some times when my phone will not connect
-- I have to turn the phone completely off and then back on again at the same time as re-booting [holding the OFF button for 20 seconds] the Tom..

both seem to recognise each other again then.. and connect --

But I the have to go and reset the 2D/3D switch -- got used to it now..
