I have friends who have just bought the above..
I have advised a BackUp before doing anything!
As I don't know the device, could anyone tell me the correct way to do a BackUp?
I expect there will be more questions.............

connect to your computermabob using the usbmabob lead
copy and paste all the files/folders to your computermabob.

That's what I suggested, but they have a new Win 7 machine and what they were telling me, when they accessed Win Explorer, was not a list of all files and folders. Will pass this on with thanks.

odd... well, it should list the contents as they function as a normal usb drive!
have they selected the relevent 'garmin' / 'nuvi' drive letter under 'Computer'? it may show 2 if it has an sd card slot.

Yes, that's what I thought. Maybe they were not doing exactly as I told them. (Not many people do  ) I'm sure they will sort it out and I have referred them to this Forum, so they have no excuses now, do they?
