navigating to co-ordinates

Friend has got his 1st sat nav, nuvi 2445 and is on way to spain but cannot find how to navigate to co-ordinates so can anyone help please

You should just be able to go to "Where To" and then "Coordinates"

this is the reply i got back but me being a tom tom user are able to put the co-ords in 3 ways, is garmin the same??? yea, me found that bit, but maybe co-ordinates i put in were not compatable with garmin system

From memory on the coordinates input screen there should be a button for 'format'

Tapping on that will give you the options for the different formats:

d.ddddd = decimal degrees eg 52.12345
d d.dddd = degrees and decimal minutes eg 52 31.5678
d mm ss = degrees, minutes, seconds eg 52 31 42

thanks for the replies, have passed them on, just hope he gets it right as i would hate him to end up in the wrong place especially as it will be his turn to get the beers in when we meet up in Spain, if he ever gets there!!!!!!
