Hi All
Thinking of buying a new Audi S3 with built in Sat Nav, The software I believe runs off a CD, Does anyone know if you can somehow get it to read and warn of speed cameras, ie I guess adding speed camera data base to the CD as Poi's, maybe copying CD and adding the data base and burning a new One?
Thanks |

It's not just a case of adding the data to the CD the unit itself must be able to do something with it.
Do you know what model navigation unit it'll have? If so, others may be able to comment on it's ability to handle 3rd party POIs and if alerts can be set up. If it can't accept 3rd party data then there's not much you can do.
Might be worth asking Audi themselves... |

Thanks Paul, I did speak to Audi, though they did not know a great deal about it.
you can add POI's with in the Sat Nav, so I ca nonly assume that you could add a speed camera data POI, but of course it needs to be able to see the POI that you owuld have to put on the CD manually.
Was hoping some other Audi or any Car owner with a supplied Sat Nav with the car they bought Like a BMW system |
