|
|
After having (stupidly*) followed TT CS advise to factory reset my unit i've now lost countless MapShare changes i made.
Would there be a file in a backup i made 10 minutes before the reset which i can copy back to my unit to get these back?
Would a complete restore be better / work?
* I knew it wouldn't work but i had to try it just this once.... |

You need at least userpatch.dat from the root directory and MapUserPatch.dat from the map directory. They must both be copied at the same time (before rebooting) as if one is missing the other is overwritten.
Some other files which I think are mapshare files in the map directory are:
Mapserverpatch.dat
patchfilter.dat
serverlineindex.dat
servernameindex.dat
For some reason settings.dat in the root directory rings a bell but I am not sure on this file. _________________ Drivelux |

Well i tried copying the files over and now the unit just boots, freezes on the map and reboots....
So i'll try a full restore from the backup... |
