Does anyone have time to plot a route for me, using Copilot Live 8, and tell me the results?

I tries version 6 a couple of years ago and got hopeless routing. Version 7 was little or no better. I don't want to invest in version 8 without checking.

I just need to know what it recommends for fastest and shortest, rg14 6jt to sn10 1jl, and what distance/time it reckons they are.

Recommended fastest route will probably be A34/A303/A36. Or maybe A34/M4/A329/A342.
Shortest...not sure what it will suggest.

The sensible route is A4/A361. If I told V6/V7 to route me via a point on the A4, it used to insist on taking me to/from that point using a tortuous route via the M4 that was both longer and slower than just using the A4!

I found all sorts of other anomalies, but that will do for now.

I assume it still isn't possible to specify variable alert distances or variable audible alerts for POIs (specifically speed cameras)?

Quickest is: A343/A34/A303/A342/A361.
Shortest is: It wouldn't tell me the route but it looks like across country until it picks up the A4 at Hungerford, then A4 to the A361.

The routes will differ depending on your own profile settings.

You're right, of course, but even with default settings it gave me very odd routes.

I asked for 'fastest' on one particular journey and got a very odd result. When I diverted it via my preferred route (this is a regular journey and I've tried many variations), it told me my way was both shorter and faster. So why on earth didn't it suggest that in the first place?

I found similar anomalies with other routes. And changing my profile generally didn't improve matters.

I raised the issues with ALK and sent screenshots, but received only an apology for the delay in replying. That was 18 months ago.

Coupled with weak support for speed cameras in CPL, these issues were enough to make me revert to TTN despite its faults.
