|
|
I'm going over the pond later on this week to visit family in the UK.
I have a US Tom Tom which doesn't have an SD Card slot, l bought the UK map back in July for it, and l've already swapped the maps over.
Tom Tom support said l need to purchase the speed camera database for it which is $40.
My question is could l pay and use the speed camera database from this site with my Tom Tom, then switch to the US camera database when l get back from the UK.
My main concern is that my Tom Tom has no additional storage like an sd card slot, so how big would the speed camera dbase on here be for the UK? and then the US?
thanks |

it should be fine. the full database is around 600kb including bitmap/image files!
if your device was THAT low on storage space then it would struggle to run anyway!

Thanks, l have plenty of space with the US map taken off, l just wanted to make sure it would work my US Tom Tom model.
I will subscribe to the camera dbase when l get home and install the latest dbase.

UK or Western European versions of the 130 come with 1GB or 2GB internal memory. The UK map and files only take up about 170MB so you should have at least 800MB spare on a 1GB memory version etc |
