TomTom has formally announced some new models for the US following hot on the heels of the 5" screen XXL530/540 US specific devices. The 340 and 340S Live models (difference? TTS) offer most of the 740 features except for bluetooth and voice control. But they do offer a more complete mapset, adding Mexico maps with the additional POI's to what is available to the 740's. Expect US pricing of $299, a $100 discount from the 740's list price.

While not truly unknown since they've been on TT's website for a few weeks, TomTom did formally announce the upcoming release of the 325/325S. These 4.3" screen models will not be "live" devices, but rather more entry level. The 340 will lack TTS and include only maps for the country it which it was sold (ie, US models will only have US map, no Canada or Mexico). The 325S includes TTS with TomTom's standard North America maps according to GPSReview. One point made so far is that the 325's are likely not including IQR. If true, then they may be destined for our traditional "Black Friday" sales kicking off the Holiday season. TomTom did something similar last year with the orphaned 125. For the very slight anticipated street price difference with the current IQR-enabled 340's, the 325's won't be much of a bargain IMHO. But to an uninformed buyer they may certainly look like a newer and (perceived to be) more functional release.
