205W and caravaning Help

Hi All

I hope you can sort out my problems...

This has probably been asked before, but I could not find the thread, it seems that the 205 will only search a set distance from it's current location, I think this is around 90 miles or so???? is there any way to incease this search distance??

Secondly as I also tow a caravan, is their an option to have HGV routes installed on this unit or will I be better off getting a different unit/system altogether.

Your advice regarding any of the above will be gratefully received.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

To answer the first question the range is 50 miles or there about. To search beyond that you need to turn the GPS simulator on, then browse map to a town near where you want to search and then Set Location to that town. Then look for your POI.

To answer the second question, sorry but no. These units are really geared up for cars.

Ok thanks Paul.
I have sim turned off at moment so that should sort that out.

Do you know any system that caters for caravaners, as I have been taken down some roads that are not suitable at all for caravans or Lorries.
I have hears of systems for HGV's but would think these are probably aimed at commerical usage rather than the individual user.

If anyone knows of any suitable system then please let me know.

Hi I believe SNOOPER do one that allows to to input the length of the vehicle
