Hello all

I am getting the following error message when trying to transfer routes from Satmap to Memory Map via Export (.map files) or Copy from Active 10 (.gpx files).

"The file transfer has been interrupted. The USB cable may not be connected properly etc."

I had transferred one route and then the above error message appeared when doing a second route. I also transferred some routes 3 days ago and all was OK.

I have uninstalled Satsync and reinstalled it without success and I have tried in various USB ports on 2 PC's. I have tried another USB cable (not supplied by Satmap), however, in all instances Satsync does responds when the Active 10 is either connected or disconnected ie satsync buttons change from grey to orange and all the routes can be seen on the SD card.

Can anyone please help.

Thanks

John

Probably grasping at straws, but I would try:
(a) Taking the card out and copying manually to PC to check card.
(b) Do a full reset and powerdown(removing batteries).

If this fails I think it's a call to Satmap.

EDIT: Just to clear the decks a full reset on the PC would not go amiss if not already done.

Thanks for the suggestions above but this did not solve the problem.

I took your advice and rang Satmap and spent ages talking to them who were very helpful.

To cut a long story short the problem was found to be a corrupt file on the SD card, all worked OK until this file was selected, when it was selected and tried to move to the PC it came up with the error message mentioned in the earlier post and nothing else would work. Deleted this file and all is now OK.

John.
