As there have been quite a few new Satmap users and forum members lately, I just thought I would make sure people were aware of this (and I think it is brilliant):

Convert trail to track and, using Satsync, export to your pc as a gpx.
Open Google Earth
Drag the .gpx file into the google Earth window and ...
Voila!

New user - just got my Satmap a couple of days ago, did a 30 mile cycle ride and have just tried this - staggering! As a Mac user I don't have the advantgae of SatSync (yet ...) but copied the route to an SD card and onto the computer. Dragged the file onto earth, as you say, and up it comes. It even plots which side of the road I ride on! I also use www.bikehike.co.uk to import the route, which will also give me elevation profiles.
