Hi all, I'm off to Florida in a couple of weeks and although I have the Tomtom mains adapter (a mains plug then the USB cable plugs into this) I want to avoid taking 2 cables with me so does anyone know who sells a cigarette lighter plug that takes the USB cable from the Tomtom? It's a 920.
Thanks.

why not just use the car charger that came with it?
I'm guessing it's because he wants to cut down on the cables he needs to pack?

is there a difference in voltage output from US cars as compared to UK / European cars?
No

What is the voltage output from a usb pc socket...i heard it is less that the 12V in the car version....thus taking longer to charge....
The car charger drops the 12v to 5v both in the original TT charger and the USB charger I linked to.
USB is 5v also. It's the amps not the volts that may be different and result in longer charge times when using a USB adapter such as this compared to the supplied car charger.
Applying 12v to your TomTom will cause a strange burning sound and a fried TomTom! _________________ Darren Griffin
