Please DO report them on the submission map page. Unconfirmed cameras details are supplied to us Verifiers just like normal cameras, so when I drive through the location, I get an icon show up on my satnav. With an audible warning and the normal distance countdown I can then easily agree (or otherwise) the position. _________________ Dennis

Hmm ... interesting Who gets the freebie (subject to verification)? baystonhill who reported them here but not formally on the submission page; or BatmanDK who (I assume from these posts) has just registered them formally _________________ David

Does not the 'freebee' state that the submission must be accurate. Surely then, this must include speed and direction |

I believe it will be the person who submits the locations, that being on the submission page and NOT in the forum!
MaFt may use his discretion regarding who gets the 'reward', but the rules are the rules! _________________ Tomtom GO 1005 LIVE

As far as I'm aware, MaFt does NOT use his discretion over the awards ... If he used discretion he'd be open to doubt as to his integrity.
The
FIRST
SUBSCRIBER
to SUBMIT
ACCURATE
details gets the award. Every submission is recorded for posterity, so they can easily be checked back.
I believe the only "flexibility" in the process is that we will "adjust" the coordinates of a submission on the grounds that it's not easy to be spot on recording or remembering positions as you drive past. Even so, we usually get a whole host of submissions for each of these cameras - today I've been down the M5 by Taunton and checked over a dozen locations covering only eight specs cameras, so adjustments are not always made (e.g. two submissions either side of the correct location). _________________ Dennis

'tis all academic anyway. the first submissions for these were 2009-09-21 08:11:49 - i.e. 24hours before the first post in this thread.

just to clarify my last post:
i am not implying that your submissions are a waste of time - far from it! every submission gets used to aid in verification and pinpointing the actual location of the cameras sometimes before a verifier can even get their to visit.
so, even though a camera has been submitted already we still need further reports to confirm them

I was going to enter them as new cameras, instead of posting them here, but at the time they weren't operational and therefore although they had the location i didn't have the speed limit. Also as there only temporary and didn't know how long they were being in place i didn't want to report stuff that wasn't going to be there.
My main concern was people of this group knew about them.
MaFt ? Could you please add the lifer logo to my account as i gained that sometime back but for some reason its not showing .
Cheers
