nuvi 760 vs navman mapping

Can I pick your brains pgpsw-ers.
I've just bought a garmin 760,and whilst some of its features are useful,some are not to my liking.
1.My biggest gripe is the mapping (graphics & colours).My previous unit ;the Navman S50 had mapping which I liked,it looked road mappy, and the colours were acceptable.However,the nuvi 760 looks girlish,ladylike,with "PINK" route colouring!!!!.Any way to get shut of this colour scheme?
2.Any way of removing the start-up screen on the 760,what a drag!
