nuvi 250 speed camera detection help

can anyone please help me in getting the speed camera detection to work on this device.
I have poi loader and downloaded the new database of garmin web site.
proximity is ticked but still no icon of camera on map.
were am I going wrong.

I have only seen the Garmin speed camera database on a Zumo 550 and on that they dont show a cameras icon at all but have a banner at the top of the screen that warns of a proximity area for cameras .

I had just got my mate to subscribe to the pocketgps database and he was amazed at how many cameras it warned of but also the warnings and overspeed warnings as well. He thought it was much better apart from it not being directional.

I keep on learning but they invent new things faster ,How do I keep up ?

simchah - Hi and welcome.

Your Nuvi will show an icon and make a visual and audio alert when you approach a camera location.

However we need to be clear that you have loaded them properly. Can you check under Where To?, Extras, Custom POIs and see if the camera are listed.

If not, try these instructions and see how you go. if you get any problems tell us clearly what wrong and we'll help.
