Here's a q I would like answered (as no retailer seems to be able to) -
How long does Garmin (and indeed, other makers) support their products with map updates?.

I only ask, as I have no wish to buy something that is obsolete in 2 years time (like my friends Navman)

Hi and welcome.

I have an old Streetpilot i3 that is 3 years old and the latest maps are offered for it.

It appears unless you have a very old model you can still update the maps long after Garmin have dropped their official support.

Of course i can't promise anything though.

TomTom would appear to be simalar in their attitude.
