Phone audio through line-out?

Another 'newbie' 720 question.

having got the 720 to V830 with 815 maps and the camera database and Liz warnings and RDS traffic working and all of this being played back through the line-out 3.5mm socket into my car radio.....

I paired my Nokia 6610 to the device, copied the phone book and tried a call. All OK EXCEPT the audio from the phone was being played through the 720 speaker - which is basically not what I want. I think I have looked at all the options for sounds but I don't see any settings specifically for the phone audio.

Am I missing something or is this a really basic problem.

I have tried the reset - but nothing seems to work.

Now the manual doesn't say anything about this either - but I had made the assumption that it should work that way - am I wrong?

I notice a car preferences setting - but it is greyed-out - is this something I should be looking at?

You can only use the built in speaker for phone audio, you can turn the volume up and down for this ONLYwhile you are making a call (tap the left lower corner of the screen to see the slider) - there is no way to route the phone audio out through any of the other connections on the unit.

The car preferences options are nothing to do with this, and I still wonder why they are present in the menu as they cannot be used on the x20/ x30 or x40 AIFAIK - Mike

Less than impressive as the sound level of the speaker isn't all that great esp when at motorway speeds.

Still - now I know!
