Help ? Ipaq 1940 + TTN3 + Fortuna Bluetooth Clip-On GPS

Hi,

I have just got an Ipaq 1940 (Win Pocket PC OS 2003) with TTN3 and a fortuna clip-on bluetooth gps receiver. I have setup the bluetooth connection and pairing and have selected NMEA 0183v2 38400 on COM 8 but nothing happens. I have checked the status of the bluetootch connection and there is nothing been received or sent! Does anyone have any suggesstions ?

Hi Chris,

Just a thought, but as you said "I have just got" I presume the Clip on is brand new?

If you you need to give it time to get it's first fix - I can't remember the exact words of what it needs to receive but it took mine about 35 to 45 minutes to get the satellite positioning sorted out in the first place and then all was well and gets its subsequent first fix in seconds

Give it a try - can't hurt

Try to change Serial bluetooth port 5.
