We are (hopefully) going to get another vehicle this weekend, however it has a heated front screen.

I have been told that my Go530 will not work with this ??
True or false..or is it time to get the mapbook back out of storage
Thanks
Baldy

I have no GPS problems with a Go530 in a car with a heated front screen.

I do seem to have problems with the TMC traffic quickly getting a signal, it does eventually, but I do not believe that is a result of the heated front screen as that aerial runs up the glass beyond the edge of the elements.

Neither my ONE v2, or GO 540 have any problems with my Mondeo's headed windscreen (NB: I do position it in the bottom right corner where there is a small area with no elements - but that's not been provoked by lack of signal anywhere else, that's just where I like it - I've never even tried it anywhere else)

No current system will be affected by heated windscreens. The older GPS chip-sets were affected but more modern chip-sets have been out for a number of years now that are not.

Firstly make sure She Who Must Be Obeyed can drive using the TomTom.
Then try them all in the following sequence:-

Beer Wine Gin
YES NO NO
NO YES NO
NO NO YES

YES YES NO
NO YES YES
YES NO YES

YES YES YES

If you don't make it to the last one you should be past caring anyway.!!!!!
