Hi All

I have had a 720 for a while but I am a bit stuck

When I set a destination I get speed camera warnings

The problem is that I don't get the warnings when there is no destination set Sad

How do I set the 720 up to ALWAYS give speed camera and "exceeding speed limit" warnings - i.e when a destination has not been set

When I get this sorted I intedn to upgrade to the PGSPW database Very Happy

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Boydie

Which database are you using as the TomTom Safety Cameras will warn with or without a route set, but the database isn't too accurate so it tends to not warn about some cameras as they are not in the database.

For the Pocket GPS World Speed Camera database you have to set up the warnings using the Change Preferences/ Manage POI/ Warn When Near POI option, when doing this for each category simply leave the "Warn only if POI on route" checkbox unticked, this way you will get warnings of cameras all the time.

With the database from this site you can also have spoken alerts which will say "Warning Gatso ahead, speed limit is XYZ miles per hour" in addition if you find a location where there is a camera which isn't in the database and are the first to report the coordinates you could earn a lifetime subscription making the database downloads free for life - Mike
