Ok so where to start...
I havent posted here in a while...

First what I used a " Unit For "

mainly my offroad pickup truck
I used a speedometer program as my speedometer is incorrect (and no real way to fix it on a manual trans)

GPS navigation, web browsing, mp3's, movies

Ok so I started out with
ipaq 3850 and navman sleeve
then went to
ipaq 3955 with navman sleeve
then to
ipaq 4700 with bluetooth qstarz 1000 logger gps

so all in all I was happy with all this... sold each unit as I got a new one..

now my problem is I was planning on getting a sprint mogul but not sure if I am going to do that now.... soooo I sold everything but my bluetooth gps

I am in a delema though... do I just buy another ipaq with bluetooth... and use mine as I do need a speedometer!!!!!!

so stuff for me to look at are
1. sprint mogul - really want that but waf factor isnt there
2. buy ipaq with bluetooth and go back that route
3. buy hp 310 - try the hacks to get it so I can load the speedometer software

so what do you think?

my other option which is not cheap is a car pc
$300 for touch screen
$200 for mobo/mem/cpu
$75 for power supply
$0 hard drives - got them laying around

I have read here and there about the hp 310 and the ability to get into it to run software..... even read some up here but now my head hurts!!!!

so what do you think I should do?

You could try one of these devices

It would let you decide on what h/w you want to run but still function as a speedo - with "headup display".

I've not tried one myself - but they don't seem to be that expensive
