Recommended warning distances for Speed Camera POIs

Hello,

Big thank you for the tip regarding .ogg files, up until today I was still trying to use CheckPOInt which I've used since TTN3!

However CheckPOInt would notify me when I was a set number of seconds away (typically 30, and then again at 10 if I was speeding). TTN6 is asking me to specify a distance to warn at.

Is there a list of recommended distances for each speed?

There is a chart that I'll search for, but the simplest way is to multiply the speed by 10, eg for a 30mph Gatso set the warning to 300 yards, for 60mph set it to 600 yards, but double it for mobile cameras, as they can catch you from much further away.

If you have a look at This page and scroll down quite a bit you will find a table that lists the seconds to distance conversion - its not rocket science, double the values given though for the mobile cameras as they can detect you at far longer ranges - Mike
