|

I dont seem to be able to use spoken dialogue to set addresses on my 720T any more. It has worked in the past but doesnt seem to now.
I select "navigate to" then "address" but the page this leads to now only gives me 4 options (city centre, street and house number, postcode and crossing) it doesnt give me the two spoken address and dialogue icons like it used to (they arent greyed out, just not present)
Following advice from customer services I removed all files from the root and the ASR directory, this triggered a reinstall which fixed it for a few minutes (the icons reappeared) but subsquent updates from Home (or perhaps simply rebooting) trashed it again a few minutes later. This problem has been present for a month or two now.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on it

I guess no-one else is getting this problem?
TT told me to delete the folder called ASR, then update , and send them the .pna file from the Map if this didnt fix it
this fixed it, until next time I rebooted then it disappeared again!
I replied with the pna file around 3 weeks ago, but TT didnt bother to respond this time (sigh). |

My 720 stopped working when on version 7. the iconsd were still there but greyed out. It came back on v8 but I don't know if it's still working because it's such a waste of time that I never use it. I don't have my device with me so can't check at present. _________________ TT Go Essential |

Hi, thanks for the reply
Mine is slightly different in that icons for address input arent there at all, rather than greyed out.
Cheers |

Have you got a custom menu loaded to the device? to check this open the SDKRegisty folder on the device and look for a file named tomtom.mnu if you have such a file rename it to tomtom_old.mnu then reboot the device, although I doubt this will be the case it is worth checking - Mike |

Is it possible that you have the reduced menus enabled? If so you can get the complete menus in Change Preferences. Sorry I'm not sure exactly where but if you go through the pages you should see the button. _________________ TT Go Essential |
