Hi,

I wonder if anyone can help / has had the same problem...

I had TomTom Navigator 3 Bluetooth delivered today and successfuly installed the software on my XDAII.

The Bluetooth GPS receiver bonded straight away with my XDA and has been working great today and worked brilliant on the journey home.

When home I pressed the OFF button to turn the unit off (to save battery power) but it is now just flashing a blue light and the unit will not turn off or bond with the XDA II.

Is there a way to reset the device or turn it off?

I can obviously wait until the battery runs out Crying or Very sad

When the unit is ON you hold the power button down until the Green LED illuminates, then release the Power button and the unit switches off at which point all LED's will be extinguished. Yours is still ON Thumbs Up

Laughing Out Loud thanks for that but ....

I definately can not turn it OFF. Holding the power button down does nothing the blue light continues to flash and there is no green light to be seen.

I know the correct process to turn it off and on as I turned it off at lunchtime then turned it back on to come home.

I wouldn't mind if it was actually on and would bond. The XDAII can't even find it anymore Sad

Early models had a high failure rate the symptoms of which were when powered on there was no blue LED and no BT communication.

Yours does not fit this pattern. Have you tried charging the unit?

I've just plugged it in now .... the red charge led has come on and the blue led is still flashing away.

Pressing the power button for 4 seconds does not put out the blue led even when charging.

I let it charge to green and I'll keep my fingers crossed Confused

Just an update.

After the unit powered down overnight the blue led stopped flashing and the red (low power) led appeared.

After a full re-charge the on/off button is now working fine :d

Phew .......

On another power related note ;) does anyone power their Bluetooth receiver in car ? If so what cable did you buy.

I have the GPS receiver on the rear parcel shelf and was thinking of powering it from there. My XDAII is on a magnetic windscreen mount.

But I have tried the receiver next to the cigarette lighter on the floor and in the drivers cubby hole and it works fine !! I'm well impressed !
