New to site and I have a problem with my C-320

I am not sure where to go in the forum, but my Street Pilot C-320 will not utilize the interstate route between two points. I think I have downloaded all the updates and I have tried the "fastest" and "shortest" settings with no difference. I live on the gulf coast & Garmin always directs me via coastal highways and ignores the interstate routes. ??? Thanks for any & all help.

Hope you don't take offence but are the route options settings ok - ie are what we call here motorways allowed or excluded?
