need help with my haicom

I recently bought a haicom hi-203e to use with my toshiba e335. I installed the driver and i think it uses com 9 but the gps doesn't seem to deliver any data to the pocket pc. the mouse flashes if you set it up with a baud rate of 4800 or 9600 but still no development inputs come in. is my gps broken? please if anyone has the same system i would appreciate some help.
