Clue: Look at his duplicate post - here

Quote:
having probs loading asc files on to sytem or should it be cvs

taximan4- On the help page it states the following

Quote:
Note: Newer versions of the software, by default, ask for 'Files of type: CSV Files (*.csv)' You might have to put *.* or *.asc and press 'Open' in the File Name window in order to show the asc files.

Does this help?

I have a S80. It seems that NavDesk on the S80 is different from the rest of the S range in the way things happen. When downloading the database use the .csv files as the poi editor will not support any other files. You will need to add your own sounds I converted the custom TT ogg files to wav files. All seems to work fine. One more point although the unit recommends not to go above 12000 poi (because it will slow the unit down) they will actually load. I have not noticed any slowdown but I have taken off all unnecessary maps and voices. Hope this helps

Also check georgia2005's post about downloading the CSV version.

I believe "Other - CSV" is the type to use, but i maybe wrong...
