Hi all,
I have just acquired a new BT-308 to use with my H2210 and TT2
Sometimes during the use BT manager pops up and requires me to click in order to continue . This occurs every 10-30 minutes if the driver is set to NMEAv2 4800 and much often if speed is set to 38400.
COM port is 8 as usual. Installed TT2 GPS upgrade 2.08 plus the latest BT driver from HP for the ipaq ( 1.4.1 build 58 ) . I just wonder if this is normal and has happened to other as well. I don't think it's a GPS hardware problem.
I am reluctant installing the new ROM upgrade for the PPC as I would have to reinstall everything. ..
Any help/suggestion?
TIA
Roberto

It certainly isn't normal. How far away from the PPC is the 308 when it does this?

I know installing the ROM update is a pain but it does seem to have improved the whole experience, solved some Bluetooth issues and made soft resets much less frequent. If you use MSN Messenger or MS Reader then the previous patches are rolled up into ROM saving precious memory also. If you really don't want to do this then the BT update is available as a standalone fix which does not require a re-install here.

Thanks Darren for your help.
The problem comes up no matter what the distance is.
So last night I installed the latest ROM image . Now I have everything updated but the problem is still there.
This morning a colleague lent me his BT308 and that seems to work OK. Looks like mine is somewhat faulty or, firmware is old. Does anyone know if there is a way to self upgrade the BT308 firmware? Or enquire the thing do find out what is the currently installed version?
TIA
Roberto

Winfast Navigator will allow you to enquire of the GPS and reset it if necessary. It is available along with a guide in our downloads section here.

If you need any help just ask Smile
