ONE v3 EUROPE - charging

I have just hard wired a new Brodit mount into my A3 for my new ONE v3 Europe. Apart from letting the battery run down and seeing if putting in the mount recharges it, is there any other way I can check if the TomTom is actually be charged.

Put it in the mount with the device OFF, turn on the ingition and does the green LED adjacent to the on/ off switch on the TomTom turn on? - if the green LED is on the device is being powered by the car, thus being charged up - Mike

Thabks very much Mike. I new this was the place to come for the information. Nothing mentioned in the manual or on the TomTom website support section.
