GPSMAP 276c

I have a GPSMAP 276c and have been using it on my boat with the Marine Map.

However, I´d like to use it in my car as a navigator. I have seen an Auto navigator kit comprising of the mount, 12v power/speaker cable and the City Navigator Map on CD. It all seems a very expensive way of converting the GPS to road use?? I can buy a brand new TomTom for the same price of the kit.

I obviously need the mount and 12v cable etc etc but do I have to buy a new data cartridge and a USB docking unit to store the map data onto? Is it possible to access the data cartridge via the data cable??

I am really confused about the whole matter and any help would be apreciated.
