Have a Goodmans gnav12, early version with flat buttons.
It has decided to freeze on map choice once you have gone into destinator. I have a uk_ireland map version 2006.q1.4156 highlighted, but when i go to select button, it goes blue for a brief second and then returns to the same white colour.It will not allow me to delete it, and refresh does nothing. I spoke to goodmans tech support , who advised connecting to a computer, i tried to explain that this model does not connect to a pc... Someone please tell me if i'm wrong, or knows of a usb drivers, as it tells me device malfunction if i try.So theywere totally void of any ideas.
I've tried to put a map on an sd card, and put that in to see if it would register, but nothing appears!
Can anyone offer advise please!!!!

@Mack
You sure you dont have USB?
In the specs for the GNAV12 it clearly states "USB" and then it will also connect to PC, but you need to have Microsoft Active Sync installed on the PC first!
Check and get back to me and we'll take it from there.

See this thread. It seems the USB port maybe just for charging.
The manual shows the ports on Page 7. Item 7 is described as a Charging Socket but you can't see what shape / type it is.
edit: Accidentally deleted a paragraph when trying to re-order them. It's one of those mornings.....

Seems you are right on this one. The manual does clearly state on item 7 that it's the "charging port" so this only option left here is to update/modify the installation via the SD card.
Seems it's a custom version of Destinator on it. You might try to update as the guys in the other thread via the SD card.
