Does the fortuna have to be turned on to be charged? I recieved mine yesterday and after fiddling with the battery contacts to get a proper connection i put it on charge.

If i left it in the off posistion then the battery light stayed red (it says in the manual amber for charging) If i turn the unit on then the light changed to amber, and then eventually green when it was charged

Anyone?

Hi Razor,

Are you talking about the Fortuna Clip-On?

If so, then you should be able to charge it when it’s either switched on or switched off. I charge my Clip-On when it’s switched off. Charging time should be less than 3 hours. Thumbs Up

Regards,

Sorry, yes, i was referring to the clip-on.

I only ask because when the unit is 'off' the red light comes on, which the manual says is low charge. The only way to get the orange light was to turn the unit to the 'on' position

Does yours do the same as this?

Hi Razor,

Sorry, I should have confirmed! Embarassed

Yes my Fortuna Clip-On behaves the same as yours does.

Charging when switched on: Amber light
Charging when switched off: Red light
When fully charged: Green light

Regards,
