However they do not show on my device I cannot find them in any category although when my device is connected to my PC I can seem the files in the Western & Central folder. Any answers on this would be great. Thanks |

How far have you got and what doesn't work?
Do they show on the map (if you want them to)?
Do they show an alert when you are near one (even in demo mode)?
How many custom POIs have you got loaded (count the number of .ov2 files in the map folder)? _________________ Gerry

Have you "unzipped" the archive file you downloaded to produce the individual files you need? You do that by right clicking on the file you downloaded and selecting "extract all". This should produce about 15 files, of which you need the 12 shown below.
Have you copied (with Windows Explorer) both the .ov2 datafile and the .bmp icon file for each type into the map folder?
If you view the contents of the folder with Windows Explorer do you see ALL these files:
pocketgps_uk_gatso.bmp
pocketgps_uk_gatso.ov2
pocketgps_uk_mobile.bmp
pocketgps_uk_mobile.ov2
pocketgps_uk_pmobile.bmp
pocketgps_uk_pmobile.ov2
pocketgps_uk_redlight.bmp
pocketgps_uk_redlight.ov2
pocketgps_uk_specs.bmp
pocketgps_uk_specs.ov2
pocketgps_uk_temp.bmp
pocketgps_uk_temp.ov2
(If you cannot see the bit after the dot on each file name, you need to switch on the correct view in the Tools menu/Folder options/View tab. - UN-TICK "hide extensions for known file types")
DO NOT do any of this investigation using TomTom's "Home" utility.
While you are there, count up the TOTAL number of .ov2 files. I can't believe you have gone over the limit for a 920 (around 300, but the limit can be much lower on other models).
If the files are all present and correct, I'll have another think.... |

This came to me in a PM as 'wartklin' was having trouble replying on the forum.

Thanks for your response re: the installation of safety cameras on my 920T.
The instructions you have given, are the same as I have carried out. I can see the files in explorer on the Western and Central European folder, but cannot see them on the TomTom.

I haven't come up with any bright ideas as to what he's doing wrong yet, but it's bound to be something simple and obvious AFTER someone's thought of it!
Anyone? |

How many OV2's might be relevant.
Also are the Files in a sub-folder in the Map Folder and/or no double extensions! _________________ Richard
