|

Good afternoon all,
I have recently purchased
this SatNav running on a Route 66 map. I have downloaded numerous POIs from the extremely large database on this website in .csv & .bmp format. I copied them into the correct folder on the memory card and put the memory card back into the SatNav. When I go to the 'Navigate to POIs around current location' menu, the list of all the POIs comes up, including the ones included with the product and the ones I have just added. A quick test of the newly added POIs reveals that only about half of them work. The other half, when pressed, will say 'No Search Results'. One would assume that the .csv file was corrupt or something, so I replaced the files of the POIs that weren't working. Now, a different selection of POIs will return 'No Search Results', including ones that worked previously. After replacing files for over an hour, I was getting nowhere. The system refuses to let all custom POIs work at one time. I don't know whether I'm installing them wrong or if there is a problem with my system, but any help will be greatly appreciated as I am getting extremely frustrated with this. Thank you for any feedback |

How many POI files have you added to the device? - count up the number of csv files on the device, it could be you have loaded too many and exceeded the limit - Mike |

I've added 28 new POI categories, I'm not sure how many are pre-loaded onto it though. I'll try deleting some of the pre-loaded ones and try again |

When I click on 'Remove POI category' it only gives me the option of removing the ones I have put onto it myself, not the ones installed on it from the start... |

That is quite normal, and removing the pre-installed POI files probably wouldn't assist this problem. I have only ever added the Speed Camera POI files to Route 66 so I am not too sure if there is a limit to custom POI files but other applications certainly do have limits. - Mike |

Ok, thanks Mike, I'll cut the list down a bit and see if it works. |
