Hi Guys,
I'm a beginner here but I've been using my TT Go300 for ages and been really pleased with it. I've downloaded the latest speed camera db and have tried to get the spoken voices (which i've had before !) but can't seem to get anything at all other than the standard bugle bells and whistles. I've checked for a double ogg extension, checked that the files are similarly named - what else could I have done wrong ?
It's getting very late now and I'm pretty off that I can't seem to crack it !
Any one got any ideas ?? |

First, the ogg files are in the same folder as the ov2 and bmp Files, aren't they?
When you go through Warn When Near, what screens do you see?
After the distance setting screen you should get a Sound Screen. What does it say? And what did you do? _________________ Richard

Hi Oldboy - yup the OGG files are in the same folder as the ov2 and the bmp files - volume is up to be audible etc. After last night it was getting to me and I gave up. Today I've been out and about and the mobile camera soundings work fine but when I do a demo in the house on a route where I know I have a Gatso I don't get anything. I've tried the demo of a route from postcode PR33 found on this forum and it stays silent.
So the screen after the 'Warn when near poi offer me a poi category. If I select the pocket gps uk gatso at 30mph the next screen prompts me to remove the warning. I understand that I select NO I then have a choice of distance - I select 300 yards and ok that then in the next screen I'm asked 'Is this the sound you want to select ? and it is quiet. I select yes then the next screen is 'warn only if poi is on route I tick, accept and then I'm back at the beginning. Is it possible to have a problem only with the Gatso ones ? If so what do I do ? |

Cracked it !!!
I feel so stupid now - I'd followed the instructions to the letter all the way through and went through the demo's last night and thought that it hadn't worked for me. Went out today in the car and the mobile camera warnings worked a treat, but I didn't pass a Gatso. Again, I did a demo route where I know of some gatso's and no warnings came through.
BUT when I slowed down the demo...............you guessed it .......they were there all the time.
I feel so stupid now and rather foolish but I'm happy to pass on the above so that no-one else makes the same mistake as I did. Many thanks to Old timer for your prompts - I'm sorry if I've wasted your time. |

Glad it's sorted. Just remember to keep the Demo Speed at 300% or below. _________________ Richard
